Random question: do you have any good comic book recommendations? The comics shop in my neighborhood just reopened--Fantasy Books and Games in Livermore, California, if anyone cares--and I don't want them to go out of business. However, it's been a while since I was a comic book buyer, so I need a good place to get back into it.
Okay, my top recommend is always The Sixth Gun (Oni Press), which is one of the things that got me back into comics after about eight years away. The first book works as a standalone, but of you keep going... wow.
The other thing that got me back in was G. Willow Wilson's run on Ms. Marvel (Marvel Comics). It's just fantastic.
This might sound silly, but there's a Vampirella/Red Sonja team up book from Dynamite that's really fun.
Pretty much everything IDW has done with the Transformers is just magnificent. Their old continuity wrapped up with the Unicron storyline (which also ended their whole Hasbroverse), but the Last Light books are still a wonderful read. Also, their current Bold New Era series is brilliant on many levels. I think they just started a Transformers vs Terminator miniseries.
Finally, personal bias, but I love their reboots of Rom and Micronauts, which also tied into the Hasbroverse.

That's just a few things off the top of my head.
