  1. Would it be possible for you to explain the cartoon. All I know about passive voice is what the Word Grammar checker says.

    Why is it important?
    How does it work?

  2. Hi hzglm3,

I'm not going to go into the definition because you can find it online. To explain the cartoon:The first sentence, "The sentence was written in the active voice by the boy," while it is grammatically correct, the sentence is actually written in passive voice, even though it talks about the active voice. The second sentence, also grammatically correct, "The boy wrote in the passive voice," is actually written in the active voice, even though it talks about the passive voice.
