I also think it's one of the reasons Awake works so well. Brittan isn't struggling to find out why his world operates the way it does, he's just accepted this is the way things are.

Y'know, Thom, I've heard of The 4400 but I've never seen a single episode. I couldn't really say if it fit this problematic niche. Do you know it well enough to say?Virtual Strangerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01040333093180694172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1859940184293909528.post-89589558021695105832012-05-06T00:09:44.018-07:002012-05-06T00:09:44.018-07:00This made me think of The 4400, which I don't ...This made me think of The 4400, which I don't think fell into that same mistake you're talking about.

Did you catch that one?Thom Brannannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1859940184293909528.post-26957405399894941072012-04-26T14:43:12.196-07:002012-04-26T14:43:12.196-07:00This was a good post that made me get lost in thou...This was a good post that made me get lost in thought a few times so I had to read it again.

I haven't seen any of those shows so I am trying to think of other examples. What about Carnivale ?

But I guess shows like Supernatural and 6 Feet Under which both have supernatural elements are the opposite of this because there is no secret, its just the way things are.Evannoreply@blogger.com
