Specific...Could you maybe talk about worldbuilding? Specifically about creating unique settings. The posts I've seen on here about worldbuilding or setting tend to focus on characters in "our world" and whether or not they're aware of the existence of monsters. I'd like to know your thoughts about creating settings that aren't our contemporary setting. Something like The Lord of the Rings or even Dead Moon. How do you approach creating their histories, or cultures, or hierarchies? Do you do it in the pre-writing stage or in drafting?<br /><br />I'm aware your not an epic fantasy writer like Brandon Sanderson or George R.R.
